Is the pill effective during the first week?

I have been taking birth control pills regularly, but I always wondered about this. After each inactive (placebo) week, how many days after I take the first active pill will the pill be effective?

How long is your first period supposed to last after having a baby? ?

okay its been 2 months and i got First period about a month ago and i want to know if that’s normal or not and im still heavy at times. i know that it can be longer or shorter, but does it supposed to be this long? oh ya and i have started my birth control when i started and sunday i start my next moths worth. please help.

Early signs of pregnancy?

I had unprotected *** (pull out method) the friday before last. I should get my period in a week or 2. Im feeling a little funny because I havent had *** in awhile and Im getting worried. Not sure if its just in my head. What are some of the earliest signs?? Are all signs the same for each pregnancy?? Dont need lecture on birth control….already know…..

I am currently on Tri- Sprintec, I have started to take my last row of pills and its been about 4 days and I have not had my period yet. Is this normal? I am worried that my pill may have failed and I am late.. Help!

How long will my period last?

I have been on Birth Control “pills” for the past 5 years and have a regular period which last approx 4 days. However I have decided to come off and today is the 4th day, but it don’t look like it’s gonna end today.
1) Does this mean that I will most likely have once again a 7 day cycle once off the pill?
2) How come once on the pill it only last approx 4 days, where does all the waste/blood go?
I can think of several ans. to my own questions but would love to hear yours!

Should I stop taking my birth control pills if it is making me really nautious and when will it stop?

I just took the first pill last night and I woke up feeling really sick in the middle of the night. The nautious feeling lasted until about 10:30 in the morning. Its like morning sickness but i still felt crappy the rest of the day. When will these side-effects stop and should I continue taking the pill.

What to do after missing 2 birth control pills of last week of pack?

When I realized that I had missed pills during the last week of my pack last month I took them at once. I just found out that I should have taken one at a time then started a new pack immediately. But instead I did like I normally do and had my period then started a new pack. Just wondering if anyone knows when I’ll be ok to stop using back-up protection.
its a 28 day pack , it was during the 3rd week of pills.
