My wife’s maiden name is “Sao” but she is NOT Asian, nor is anyone in her family. They also have NO Asian features.

They are originally from Ghana, which is an African country. Her parents, grandparents, great grandparents and great-great Grandparents are all Ghanian. No one appears to have married an Asian person.

So what’s up with her last name?

Ancestors.com just said the last name was “Unexplained”.

So I guess my question is, “How does an African family end up with an Asian sounding last name?”

so im a pretty inteligent teenager and understand a lot of things that people in there 30’s probably dont even understand. and im usually good at understanding why people do certain things or act a certain way and all that good stuff like that. but… i dont understand myself when it comes to this “ONE” little tiny baby sized thing..

are you ready for my dramatic novel??? well , here it go’s.
so i met this boy a little bit before school got out in may. turns out he has lived right across the street from me for a year or somthin. i would go over there occassionaly when ever my mom would go to chat with his aunt and i would just hangout with him. i had no intentions to have any kind of flirty relationship or watevr and that was the last thing on my mind. but aparently… he didnt feel the same way i guess… so he started to squeaze little cute things into his sentences and he started flirt a little after awhile. i could tell he was into me and i was flattered,(he was smoken hot.hahaha) anyways… i slowly began to let my guard down and trust him more. i was very happy with where my mind set was at, and didnt want anything to happen,again, that would make me look at things differently.(by the way, im 15) next thing i knew he was makin me brownies and getting all cute and cuddly and i couldnt help but have feelings for him. he had never ever been mean to me, well except for the little bits of teasing but that was understandable sense its not like i would get affended by it. we just had lots of fun and hung out all the time. and then i started hanging out with him and his 3 friends. we would go swimming,hiking,eat fish tacos, and watch movies all the time. and they were so fun to be around and i became attached to them.they became my friends as well.everything was PERFECT, and then….. “SHE” happened.(haha)
ahem-
this cute boy..lets call him, joe. joe’s cousin said his friend(uh bob) bob liked me, I didnt like him that way so I didnt really say much. I told a friend a story that involved “joe”,about how he had held my hand and all, then this other girl,(umm lets call her poo) poo found out and got mad.turned out that,”poo” was “joe’s” GIRLFRIEND.”(anything sounding messed up yet?) Then bob’s g.f. (nancy)nancy got mad cause she thought bob liked me. So then bob got mad at me and said that I was tellin people him and joe liked me. Which I never did say that. Yada yada yada,I said srry and asked what could I do to make things better and they were still mad. Which is stupid because I didn’t do anything on purpose in the 1st place.
and then i was upset, and they were all being jerks to me and texting me weird stuff. then one of “joe and bob’s” friends,(lets call him kreg) texted me. i didnt know who it was and he made me promise not to tell any of them that he was talkin to me, i said sure. he asked if i was okay, and i said , im alright, then he asked:are you sure? , i tried to keep myself from telling him everything but i couldnt help him, i told him my side of the story and he talked to me about it. he was pretty much on my side and said that he would talk to joe and bob. i said thanx. he said how joe’s girlfriend “poo” was really noisy,(she’s like 13 or 14 or somthin) and would always read her brother bob’s text messages to see if joe was talking to other girls. i pretty much dislike that girl with a burning passion.
so kreg talked to joe and bob and everything was cool agian with us, except for the fact that i cut off all flirtyness with him and he became just a friend. he still sometimes would flirt with me but i was stuborn and didnt give in. he hurt me, and he wasnt even aware of the twisting ach i got everytime i was around him, and even after to admitted to me that he had a girlfriend and how she was mad at him for crushing on me(did i mention how she lied to them and told them how i was saying things like “im so hot” and “all those boys are in love with me??” ya pretty weird and stupid, huh)and then that was the night he began to cut out of his life, (did i also mention how he made me cry, cuz 2 days after he held my hand he completly ignored me and drooled over this really weird girl?)
so ever sense then our friendship(or watevr its called) has been like a rollercoaster. “up and down” all the time. im not the time of person who holds grudges, in fact its pretty much impossible for me to do, even when i try. and he’s a guy and guys hardly even know why a girl is ticked off at him half the time anyway, so i just tried to , let it go and forget about it. but they didnt do entirly the same thing.
and now we’re up to the latest of this news.

Well. my friend’s last name is BERAK. and he’s from Russia, as far as we know.. all his family is native from Russia, maybe his family changed his family name, just as my family did… the original last name of my family was FRANCESCHI.

I see there are hundereds of questions here on Yahoo Answers asking where to download free music. Last I checked, downloading music over the net, that you have not paid for is illegal.

I am not really interested in a “membership” and even question the legality of that. What I am interested in is a reputable site where I can pay for each song I download and there is no minimum commitment. I just want to download a song or two, once in a while, and pay for the download.

Suggestions?
See… I glanced at Napster and it looked like it was by subscription. Guess I will have to look closer.
I know I can go buy the CD! Geez, the idea is to just get 1 song, not the whole CD. It’s a convenience thing!

First I want to know what last minute things I need to plan for or prepare for. We have most done, but I know there will be stuff I will forget.
Second, what do I need to plan out for the rehearsal dinner, I know not everyone literally does a rehearsal, but I want to run it through and I need some advice on how it is suppose to go.
I guess Third, just what to plan for, I know things will happen and things won’t happen, I guess I just want some personal experiences, what didn’t you think of till the last minute, what went wrong, that kind of stuff. I give credit to those of you who “try” every month (charing, OPK’s, using a calendar to “schedule” sex, etc.). I tried it for these past two months and I’m not going to “try” anymore. Yes, I ovulated. I know when I ovulated and I can tell you that DH and I probably had *** every day from the end of my period until 2 days after ovulation and then every 2-3 days after that. Didn’t get pregnant either month. And then at the end of the month, it was very frustrating & disheartening. Last month, I’m pretty sure I tricked myself into showing pregnancy symptoms! =/

Yesterday, my husband and I both had the day off and we just relaxed and had such a great time. I’d almost forgotten what it was like…. because I’d been so strict like, “We need to have *** NOW! Get hard…” lol. Poor guy. It just makes me think that I wasn’t really being very loving to him these past 2 months. I had one thing in mind when it came to sex: getting pregnant.

But I’ve decided to heck with that. From now on, we’re just going to go with the flow. I’m not going to be all crazy and make *** a chore anymore. It *****! I should have listened to those of you who told me this in the first place. Guess I was too stubborn. How do you do it? How do you “try” and not become an emotional wreck? Or disconnected with your husband? Or jealous when one of your friends announces she’s pregnant? How?

What origin (like Scottish, English, Spanish, Greek, ect) does this last name sound like? Don’t look it up on the internet. I just want to see what kind of guesses pop up on this name. “Pendarvis” (Pendarvis is the Americanized version of Pendarves).

Seeing how Osmei has ruined any more chances at the fun, I’ll tell you now it’s Celtic (Cornish for a modern term). If you know American history (especially southern history), you’ll see the name pop up more than once.
