Should I bother learning German anymore?

Hi, I was just wondering what people thought.

Started studying German back at school when I was 14. I’m now 27 and haven’t really stopped. The thing is something has dawned on me: I don’t even like German people!! I don’t mean to offend anyone but over the years I have met many German people, in fact my brother in law is from Germany. I have been to lots of different places there and can’t say I honestly enjoyed any of it. Especially Berlin which was oppressive. I don’t ever want to go back there, I don’t like their food, culture and definitely not their history. Last year I went on holiday in a hotel full of German people- they were very rude and all looked entirely miserable.

In contrast I picked up Spanish a few years ago and love it. I love the Spanish people, their culture and their language. I’ve been trying to learn it alongside keeping up the German. Thing is after all this time I still can’t speak German fluently anyway! My reading skills are good but the rest is probably sat at A level standard. Should i ditch it for Spanish?

I met this guy last week at my college at a party, I asked him to dance and he said sure and soon enough we were talking and dancing. The next week I met him again at the same party and we also danced, only this time while we dance we began making out, and after he walked me home we made out again and then said goodnight to eachother.After making out with him would he see me as a sleaze, because I am actually looking for a solid relationship.

Where does the name Okeke come from?

I have met a lot of Igbo people with the last name Okeke, it reminded me of how there are so many Korean people with the last name of Kim. I did a google search and found the history of the name Kim.

…but what is the history of the name Okeke? Is there a common ancestor?

how should i attract a boy at a disco?

I go to an all-girls school so lets just say i dont really have much experience with boys. Im going with my best friend and i’d atleast like to dance with someone! At the last school disco i met a guy and we were together for 3 months. Was that just good luck and how would i attract a boy again?

If he likes me should he have called me?

Met a guy almost 3 weeks ago, he gave me his number, we have talked, texted, and hung out since then. Last time he called me was Friday night to see what I was doing and we hung out, just me and him at his house. He didn’t try anything, was sweet and a perfect gentleman! After I left he texted me to tell me what he was doing and to say goodnight.

I texted him Saturday night to say have a good time, etc., and he texted back to say good night and stuff.

I haven’t heard from him since then. Now it’s Tuesday. Should he have called me? Is he not that interested then??

I have lived with Wayne for 12 years. I love him and would never want to hurt him. Joe lives 280 miles away. He was my first love 25 years ago. Joe’s wife died last year and we have been communicating by letter and phone ever since. The old feelings are coming back of our love the way it was years ago. On August 19th, it will be 25 years since Joe and I met. He wants to come up and see me and I want to see him. Wayne is a nice guy. He is a good provider. We get along great. We no longer have a sexual relationship and Wayne refuses to talk about why that is. Do I see Joe? Do I tell Wayne? My heart is split?….HELP!

Guys only. i met this guy last week?

We met once before and again yesterday and had a really nice time….ended up going back to my place and fooled around but didnt have *** coz i refused….slept for a while then he left. I feel terrible coz i want him to respect me and now i feel i’ve ruined all the chances for that..didnt even want to get physical that soon….what should i do? We are both in our 30s so we are mature.

i got in touch through myspace…

i got a message this morning from one of my half sisters that live in california. it was so wierd. i have never met her but ive known about her. she sent me a message saying she was pretty sure that i was her half sister — we have the same last name.. and its not a common last name.
so hopeflly now, ill be able to talk to her now and my other half sister that lives with her. — funny how this stuff turns out. i was so surprised when i got that message.. maybe some day ill actually get to meet them, and i have 2 neices by one sister…

so have you been reunited with someone?

I got a confusing text? Please help?

This guy and I were talking tonight a lot by text. We met once. It was just nonsense conversation about whats going on in our lives, then I told him I wanted to get some sleep and he says “Goodnight beautiful :-) sweet dreams” Does this mean he has a crush on me??

He’s never given me any hints at it, except for that last text.
