Okay sorry but I dont want anyone saying, BE YOURSELFF. How is being myself suppose to make me funny? And please dont tell me just to concentrate in school because I DO and I get kick **** grades too y’know.

And for some reason, I get really babyish and kinda.. weird over break and not the kind that people would like. So my question, any things I can do to increase my sense of humor without being silly all the time and HOW to be silly and funny? Oh and how to snap back into my normal unweird nerdish senses?

I want to be like I use to. last year I was mega confident and everyone liked me then during the summer my mom started telling me that she wanted to get a divorce with my dad and I’ve been all depressed all the time and that pretty crushed my confidence and humor. So do I have to like read to get funny?
btw, i’m 13 and please just answer the question,,, thats all i want

I want to tell you my story first before asking for advice. I started dating this person around 4 years back. I knew him from school, so in effect I have known him for 7 years now. I fell in love with him in school but didn’t pursue it until 4 years before. We reconnected once I got a job and then we were going steady. The first 2 years were a bit tough and then the rest 2 years was very happy. We decided that we should get married and he proposed to me last year March. Although he wanted to get married to me sooner, he couldn’t since his mother had put a condition that until his younger sister gets married, we cant get married. So we waited until his sister got married last year in September. During this time, his mother met me twice and both the times, she was very rude to me and clearly stated her opinion that she didn’t like me. My ex told me that he will be able to convince his mother. This has been going for some 2 years. He had been trying to convince his mother for past 2 years. We thought that she has come around but then last year she made it very clear with her actions that she doesn’t like me. We decided that that will change once her daughter gets married. But then after her daughter’s marriage, she put her foot down and said that she doesn’t like me one bit and wont agree to this marriage. My ex finally decided that he cant go ahead with this marriage since his mother is important to him and that since she is a single mother, he cannot abandon her. So we broke up.

In the meantime, I had moved to Atlanta where he worked, and got another job and in the recession of last year, I also lost my job. So I was jobless and heart broken pretty much the same week. I lost my job in the morning and he broke up with me in the evening. After that, I put all my effort in finding a new job and moved out of Atlanta. His mother had said bad things about me to my parents and bad mouthed me a lot. She called me names and equated me to a **********. All this time, my ex didn’t open his mouth for even a minute to defend me. He kept his mouth shut and let his mother spew all this bad stuff about me.

Now after 5 months, he writes to me and wants to get back with me. He says that his mother is all convinced and she is ready to go ahead with this marriage. But I have refused and I don’t think I should get back with him. But I also have feelings for him and feel really bad for him now that he is really begging to get back with me. What should I do? My parents are totally against this alliance now and they are not for this guy at all. I don’t think I can get along with his mother and sister at all since I think they are really evil people. But I also feel that I really did have true love for him and I don’t know what to do?
