How soon after blood test will the doctor know if your pregnant?

Today I am going in for a blood test to see if I am pregnant how long will I have to wait till I know if is positive or negative that I am pregnant. I was trying to wait a little longer to go have a test but this last week I have been feeling to miserable to wait.

on may 11, which is approximately 2 days away…although ive been overly excited to test ;i have waited! do u think i should wait untill i actually miss my period or go ahead and just test today becauseive held out long enough!i also miscarried january2, 2007 and this is my firt really attempt to try again ..wat do u think?

Legalities involved in giving my baby a different last name than mine?

I am pregnant and single. The father is nowhere in the picture. I was raised by my mom and only had a passing relationship with my father although I have his last name. I would like to give my baby my mother’s last name since I feel that is the family we really belong to. Is that legal?

when i took one later it was neg. my last period was due march 18 i bleed for two days really bad i thought it was just a weird period but i haven’t had one since could i be pregnant and the second test be wrong it was a generic test the second time any answers welcome

How soon after conception will vivid dreams start occuring? I think I ovulated last weekend?

I feel like I’ve been hungrier than normal (wanting certain foods. My ***** feel a little bit fuller and I’ve been having (and remembering vivid dreams Could this be because I’m pregnant b/c I normally don’t dream that much and with my last baby I had vivid dreams all throughout my pregnancy. ttc#2 for 2 months.
I’ve also been very tired but I’ve also got a cold that started yesterday.
And yes for ME vivid dreams ARE a sign of pregnancy, I have had them before during my last pregnancy A LOT! and please don’t tell me to knock it off, it’s rude!

PLus I was checking my cervix and having lots of CM last weekend so I’m pretty positive I DID ovulate, about a little over a week ago.

i was in labor and delivery and they gave me a shot to stop the contractions. How long does this shot usually last for? it was tetrabutaline. will I go into labor again soon?

Can the baby have the father’s last name?

I live in Texas and I am not married to my baby’s father. We lived together and been together for about 6 months, and with the news that I’m pregnant, we have contemplated getting married. But we’re also wondering if we should wait because I always wanted a nice wedding, with planning, and a tan, no baby bump, a honeymoon…. etc. I just don’t want to rush out and deal with the stress right now, perhaps do it right after the baby comes.
When the baby is born, if we’re still not married, will they have any problem if I give my baby his last name?

3 days after *** so I think it was right when I got pregnant. So 2 yrs later we are trying again . We did it a few times right when I thought I MIGHT be ovulating and a few days later I got flu like feeling.

I am having dizzy spells and getting very nauseous what could be causing this?

I know that Im not pregnant, I have frequent migraines. These spells come out of nowhere and last about 5 min. They happen 2-3 times per day for 3 days now. I am 23 and in otherwise good health.
